The distrib.xml was missing out the samples (RSS reader and weather portlet) because of a
bug (fixed)
The test samples are not deployed on purpose but they should be part of the binary package
so that one can install them if he wants. I will probably add a "samples"
directory at the root of the archive

I've downloaded binary distribution of portal 2.6 from
http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=jboss&filena...
...I see that there isn't portal-basic-samples.sar into samples directory......so you
cannot to use test portlets but you can only to see the tags
.....an other error is jboss-portal-ha.sar. It contains only samples directory
