Tom Baeyens commented on JBPM-977:
----------------------------------
the only real problem i can see is backwards compatibility. i tweaked commons el in such
a way that jbpm didn't have to make a distinction between value bindings and method
bindings.
going forward, we will have to break that sooner or later, i think. the next minor
version increment is 3.3. which is still a long time ahead.
migrate to jboss-el

Project: JBoss jBPM
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Core Engine
Reporter: Gavin King

Currently jbpm uses a fork of commons-el for EL processing. Seam is now using jboss-el
for this, and we need jbpm to migrate to jboss-el also, to allow a uniform language. It
would also be much nicer if jBPM used the standard ELResolver API to integrate with Seam
instead of its proprietary VariableResolver interface. This API is already supported by
jboss-el.
