How about making the EL pluggable, so that you can retain back compatibility, but Seam 1.3
can use jboss-el?

Currently jbpm uses a fork of commons-el for EL processing. Seam is now using jboss-el
for this, and we need jbpm to migrate to jboss-el also, to allow a uniform language. It
would also be much nicer if jBPM used the standard ELResolver API to integrate with Seam
instead of its proprietary VariableResolver interface. This API is already supported by
jboss-el.
