Tom Jenkinson commented on JBTM-1906:
-------------------------------------
On windows you can send a SIGQUIT as is described in the RHKB article:
https://access.redhat.com/site/solutions/19170
tasklist (used in the blacktie scripts) is how you can get the pid, or maybe jps would
help you too
Improve CI timeout handling
---------------------------
Key: JBTM-1906
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTM-1906
Project: JBoss Transaction Manager
Issue Type: Task
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Testing
Reporter: Tom Jenkinson
Assignee: Gytis Trikleris
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 5.0.0.Final
Original Estimate: 1 day
Remaining Estimate: 1 day
We do not timeout the CI runs so that someone can have the opportunity to kill -3 the
Java processes when they notice that the run has hung. It is therefore possible for the
rogue processes to clog up CI. Also, if we were to move to alternative CI arrangements it
may be necessary to set a timeout and in that case we would not have the opportunity to be
alerted of the hang.
