GWT-Console is the actual graphical user interface application. GWT-console-server is the integration part between the console and jBPM since the BPM Console is not only used for jBPM. For this reason GWT-console-server offers REST-style "webservices" which are used by GWT-Console to invoke methods on the jBPM-API.
