Hello, I am new at JBPM world. I have instaled the 5.1final version to windows. After installed it i started to create simple BPs, the hello world sample worked flawless. My problem is: I am trying to create a simple BP that call a WebService. As our goal is to create the bp using a web tool, I started to use webeditor http://localhost:8080/drools-guvnor/org.drools.guvnor.Guvnor/ 1. I created a task 2. Changed TaskType to Service 3. Set Implementation to WebService 4. Set Operation, porttype, servicename, wsdlUrl 5. File->"Save Changes" Problem: After the model is saved all the four properties: Operation, porttype, servicename, wsdlUrl are empty. This is strange because i haven't changed any settings. __ M.Sc. jbpm_process_design_in_eclipse

by Orhun YILMAZ

Hi Tihomir, I realized that my question was wrong. Here it is the right question; Why does drools's latest package (5.2) contain jBPM Eclipse Plugin (http://www.jboss.org/jbpm/components/eclipse-plugin ) instead of BPMN2 Eclipse editor (http://kverlaen.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-bpmn-20-eclipse-editor.html)? Is there any problem or issue with BPMN2 Eclipse editor? Does BPMN2 Eclipse editor offer the same functionality for Debugging and testing as jBPM Eclipse Plugin? Which Eclipse Plugin do you suggest when testing your processes in Eclipse? jBPM Eclipse Plugin or BPMN2 Eclipse editor? Thanks Orhun YILMAZ

Hi Tihomir, Thank you for your answer again:) It makes me sense now. But why drools's latest packages (5.2) contains jBPM web designer instead of BPMN2 Eclipse editor? Kind regards Orhun YILMAZ

orxy_jbpm_process_in_eclipse

by Orhun YILMAZ

Hi, Tihomir , Your post was very helpful for me. Thanks a lot. I am trying the examples in jbpm-examples in https://github.com/droolsjbpm/jbpm/tree/master/jbpm-examples. For instance, Here there are two screenshots of BPMN2-CompensateEndEvent.bpmn2 example. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/62/imageaoryx.png/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/691/imageaeclipse.png/ They don't look same. I know, they are the same file but their apperances are very different. Eclipse plugin renders all end type events (in this case CompensateEndEvent) as a red cycle end event. Because programmer couldn't see correct apperance of the process in eclipse plugin, he/she would need to use Oryx, too. This situation creates a duality when you begin to code in process. (Also, this is what BPM for. BPM is supposed to be an common environment between analyist and developer.) How do you develope processes in Drools? Do you use Oryx or Eclipse Plugin? Does this appreance duality cause a problem for you? For example, when you need to use a CompensateEndEvent, where do you code and debug? Kind regards Orhun YILMAZ

orxy_jbpm_process_in_eclipse

by Orhun YILMAZ

Hi, There are some event types exist in orxy but not in eclipse plugin. As you know, eclipse process designer plugin (jbpm plugin) has not full functionalty of BPMN2. I have a process that contains events that doesn't exist in Eclipse Plugin but exist in orxy. (They are BPMN2 events) Can I use this type of events in my processes in Drools jBPM and Eclipse Plugin ?
