Hi, I exactly have the same problem (get Nullpointer exception when I click on process list but can login). I tried what you did, but it didn't solve the problem. For the logins, I use users.properties and roles.properties. I have jbpm 3.2.3 , JBoss 4.2.1. Do you have a step by step procedure to resolve this issue?
