Hi, I installed Guvnor 5.5.0 on my Tomcat 7.0.35 and got the same exception as you. What I did was to edit the web.xml file of the drools-guvnor/WEB-INF/ folder to include the following lines : <context-param> <param-name>org.jboss.seam.transaction.disableListener</param-name> <param-value>true</param-value> </context-param> This removed the nullPointerException for me, hope it helps you as well.
