Yes, I'm using guvnor 5.3.0.Final. I upgraded from 5.1.0 since the restful
API in that version did not include these API's. I'm open to moving to any
stable release.

I'd like to here from a few people....
You - are you using 5.3.0.Final or something newer (if only 5.3.0.Final
then Geoffrey's possible changes below should not matter).
Geoffrey de Smet - who has been making changes in the way assets are
returned from the REST API recently.
Nicolas Heron - who has been doing exactly what you are asking for some
time.
Jervis Liu is the original REST API developer, who might also have a
clearer insight.
What you require should be possible, but I defer to those above who have
more knowledge.
