just tried Guvnor 5.3 and worked fine!
Do you know what was changed?
All I know is that there was an authentication related bug and it was
fixed in Guvnor 5.3. But I dont have any further details as there is no
associated jira number. This bug was probably fixed as a side-effect of
other fixes on 5.3 branch ;-)
