There's a known bug in authentication for with that version:
https://community.jboss.org/thread/206645
Perhaps that's the trouble you're having?
However, it's worth pointing out that the users that are set up within Guvnor do not
have logins. Instead they need to match up to existing users, which are set up through the
authenticator. i.e. If you are using an LDAP authenticator, the Guvnor username must match
up with a username for which there is also an entry (including a password) in LDAP.
It's the same if you set up the usernames and passwords in a properties file.
Note that you do also need to set up properties for Guvnor to require login instead of
anonymous/guest login. The user guide has the details.

Hi
I have installed guvnor-5.5.0.Final-jboss-as-7.0 in JBOSS As 7.1 and it is
working fine.
I am authenticating using JAAS Authenticator and is working fine. But
authorization is not working.
In guvnor, there is a user permission tab where we can create new users and
set roles to them.
Can we use that user to login? At present, i am giving the user list in
users.properties file and it picks from that. But, authorization is not
working. can you please let me know, how to make it work.
Thanks
Smurf
