Escape the comma in your input values.. Change: ('REO','TRM'),EQUITY, 0.6, HOTEL TO: ('REO'\,'TRM'), EQUITY, 0.6, HOTEL The comma is the delimeter between your arguments $1, $2, etc... so just escape the comma and it will be skipped as a delimeter.
