As a community effort we are creating a community training for drools and
jBPM5.
You can check the current published slides here:
We are targeting to create a complete community free training with a
complete set of material. Feedback is appreciated!

Yes, you are right let’s say in comparison to Corticon rule engine
Seeing your other emails I'd also encourage you to assess not just
technology but actually more importantly risk. Some pointers for this are:
Developer Mindshare
Hiring
Education/Training
Control
Eco System/3rd party integration
Global Professional Services
Developer Mindshare
-Drools is pervasive, meaning it's everywhere
Hiring and consultants
-The pervasive nature of Drools means there are a large number of people
you can hire. You don't want to get locked into a single vendor because you
can't hire anyone or find alternative consultancies.
-Drools is actively used in a large number of university research projects,
ensuring that there are people leaving university with Drools experience.
This is a fast growing area, I hope that eventually Drools itself will be a
teaching material in universities - once we add backward chaining and
semantics.
Education/Training
-Two Drools books, more on the way
-Wealth of online information
-Active mailing lists
-Real time chat channels
-Free and open workshops throughout the year in different locations
Control
-Can you fix bugs yourself, are you in charge of your own personal
roadmaps. Or are you at the mercy of a vendor?
Eco System/3rd party integration
-Drools is integrated everywhere - Spring, Camel etc.
Global Professional Services
-Red Hat is in the 4 corners of the globe offering a full range of
professional services and support subscriptions.
All in all Drools is going in a rapid direction for risk reduction. Where
as Corticon could be bought by Oracle or IBM next year for it's sales
contacts and the tech shelved.

Thank you
Guy

Hi,
Can you elaborate a little bit more about what are you trying to achieve?
Advantages and disadvantages compared with what?
Greetings

Hi All,
I’m trying to run due-dillgence on the Drools,
Do you know about any article that might layout the disadvantages vs.
Advantages of the Drools?
