If what you want is to access back-end repository artifacts like packages/assets
etc without using Guvnor GUI, you can try Guvnor REST interface. Check this blog

Thanks for all your info. I got Guvnor configured to use external database
repository using mysql. But just wonder if the client application can point to
the database repository directly, not depending on Guvnor application up
running.
