Eventually found a way to get around this.
If you go to Inspections on IDEA, you can disable "Checkstyle/Real-time Scan",
which is what shows the errors.
You can enable selectively in each project.
So, all good now :)

I certainly would like to propose it to Infinispan too, at least on
the Query / Lucene area as it's a pain for me to switch between
different styles, tooling helps me avoid the pitfalls.
