There is no moderation system on this list. I've been posting here for quite a while
and have seen no evidence of of one. And if there were I'm sure I would have pissed

Why?
You have to subscribe and post using the email address you subscribed
with. If you post with an unsubscribed email address it has to go
through moderation due to spam control. But we get sooooo much spam the
moderation list is just ignored, as it's not practical to sift through
the emails to figure out what is and what isn't spam.

Also, sometimes emails I send to the list are delayed as much as 12 hours. Maybe it's
because I post from a yahoo account and the spam filter pushes back. Could be that as
well.

Sometimes
codehaus gets attacked or spammed, so it takes a while to
process the backlog. I don't believe anything is lost, but things can
get queued up.
