No, not the ejb methods, just use the command objects. If we start requireing ejb's, it will not run on a default Tomcat. Regarding the hibernate issue. I do not think that we should put all things into commands, at least not initially. So using hibernate directly should not pose a problem. When in doubt, we can always refactor things and put them in a command. That depends I guess. I assume you want the web console to simply invoke the EJB methods, right? That should be easy enough I guess. Basically I just need to familiarize myself with all the commands. Do you want the web interface to use the command API exclusively? The important bit is to have a solution that is backwards compatible. Regarding the default, my preference would be the behaviour closest to the j2ee standard (strict order), but if there are too many users depending on the implicit order, let keep them happy. Could you let me know the branch/tag where the source code you have worked went for MQ XA stuff? I am wondering if you have any test cases to test the functionality. IMHO using WSDL has many benefits to it: - poeple now it - existing tools work with it - the ws-* specifications, which jbossesb seems to inherit, are based on wsdl. The last point is probably the most inportant one. If we come up with our own definition language we need to incorporate these specs (or concepts) somehow. Just think of WS-Addressing and WS-Policy. On other hand it already incorporates abstractions that fit well into the esb concept. I cannot imagine that we come up with a propriatary description language thats anyhow simplier and less complex then wsdl. Good Day, Does anyone has any pointers how I can get a Swing Application to use the Kerberos Login Module to pass the credentials to JBoss. On the client I have the following JAAS conf client { com.sun.security.auth.module.Krb5LoginModule optional useTicketCache=true doNotPrompt=true debug=true; }; My client is authenticated but I have no way of communicating the credentials to the server login modules. The authentication layer does need to support a challenge response handshake of messages. As Anil will tell you I want to be able to use SRP in the web tier and it also requires a handshake. This is not really much different than basic auth sending a 401 challenge to force an authorization header.
