Instinctively,  I would think I put a proxy onto te save application server as jbpm.  Then my application would use the proxy to get to the jBPM apis. However, we have contractors, who are leading us to embed jbpm.  We are setting up Persistence.xml so effectively, our application talks to the datasource instead of going through jBPM.
