In JBPM 3.x Token of a process instance is like an iterator which is pointing to the current node of the process. So the node associated with the token is the currently active node, which is the TaskNode for your case. In JBPM 3.x "Task" is not a node.
If you need to get the current active tasks then you can use TaskManagementInstance.

| TaskMgmtInstance taskManagementInstance = processInstance.getTaskMgmtInstance();

| //find the unfinished tasks
| Collection taskInstances = taskManagementInstance.getUnfinishedTasks(processInstance.getRootToken());

You can also get a "Set" of tasks from the node obtained from the current token.

[jBPM Users] - jBPM-4.2 Remote API problem?

In jBPM 4.1, using the following jbpm.cfg.xml in my simple test app worked:

I traced this to the fact the userCommandService is assigned null from the following:
userCommandService = (CommandService) processEngineWireContext.get(CommandService.NAME_TX_REQUIRED_COMMAND_SERVICE);
Is this a bug in 4.2, or are there some additional configuration requirements to use the remote API? (I did upgrade the server's db schema to 4.2)

What is the problem, and how can I fix it? It's OK when using hsqldb with JBoss or using MySQL with Tomcat.

[jBPM Users] - JBPM under websphere 7

I'm having a seam application with JBPM . the JBPM part is running very well under jboos 5( JBPM creats its tables in the databse) , I configured the same app to run under websphere 7 , everything runs well except JBPM that fails on server startup , my hibernate.cfg ,my jbpm.cfg as well as jbpm-jbdl.jar and jbpm`s process definition file are all under the ear root , so when websphere starts , i get the follwing exceptions:

[jBPM Users] - Re: The last stable version of JBPM

I think I need to remove some confusion here:
All the releases that we do in the community (except for alpha and beta releases) are considered stable. We cannot rule out all bugs but they are all well tested. Over the last two years we also have build a fully automated QA matrix that allows us to run the test suite on an array of combinations of JVM's, databases, JBoss and Tomcat versions. So in this respect, the latest stable version has just been released: it is 4.2.
Now to comment on what Stelios said, the releases in the 4.x branch are not (yet) officially supported by Red Hat. They are only supported by the community. This means (among others) that there is no guarantee that particular bugfixes will be backported to a version that you might be using. But if you are lucky, the community might just do it for you or if you are willing to throw some effort against it you might just do it yourself.
I hope this is a bit of a clarification.

[jBPM Users] - jBPM & BeanShell: fail with osgi classpaths

Currently I'm working on a RCP project with jBPM 3. At this very moment I'm stuck while trying to execute a process. The processDefinition.xml starts executing and at a certain moment, when it reaches a part where a Script object is started, a DelegationException is thrown.
Prior to this exception, I noticed that BeanShell did not seem to be able to resolve the OSGi classpath I use where certain source/config files are located.
Debugging the code learns that the cause is located somewhere in the integrated BeanShell code (can't tell where exactly, as I don't have the source code available); it seems that BeanShell does not use proper classpaths (confirming OSGi standards), while my RCP based project does.
As far as I know, BeanShell does 'something' with the classpaths/classloaders which seemingly affects the process in a negative way.
Can anyone suggest a way to make jBPM/BeanShell understand how to use the proper classpaths or other, if the probable cause does not concern the classpaths/OSGi aspects, possibility?
