[JBoss jBPM] - jBPM 4 - Conceptual questions regarding the IdentityService

Hello, this is more of a conceptual question rather than trying to dig through the API :) I know I can create tasks, assign them to users and groups and then query for those. So, using my application-centric user-model, I can assign tasks to my users and groups without jBPM knowing anything about my own user-model structure. So, could somebody point out some of the benefits of using jBPM's IdentityService since, to my view, I can already achieve everything I want without using it? [JBoss jBPM] - jBPM Management Console problem in login, (jBPM 4.0.CR1)

Hi, Im testing the new release 4.0CR1 with the included server, after the instalation when I tried login in the console with the usernames and password included in the documentation but they dont work. They have changed ?? Where can I configure the custom users/pass?? Timers in jbpm and weblogic.

Hi, I'm working on a project that requires some timed services. The thing is that we can effectively create some Timed stuff and make them into the JBPM_JOB table, but we cannot see that they are being tracked or executed. Is there something that we should set up in the application server? Is this service Application server agnostic?? If you don't specify late binding, the processname will be converted into a process id when the workflow is uploaded. You can see this in the jbpm_node table. For a sub-process, either the subprocname_ or subprocessdefinition_ column will be populated. In my mind, I would think late binding should be the default. It is easy to run into issues where you update both the process that includes the sub-process and the actual sub-process. If you update the process that includes the sub-process first, it will store the process-id of the old sub-process which will no longer be the current definition when the sub-process gets updated. [JBoss jBPM] - Enable message size Greater than 4KB

Hello, I'm using jBPM 3.2.5.SP5 within SOA-P 4.3.0CP01 with a "BpmProcessor" action. I pass the BODY_CONTENT of my esb message to the jBPM process. My ESB message is 5KB. When i try to pass a message to the jBPM process action, I get an error stating that: | ERROR [org.hibernate.util.JDBCExceptionReporter] ERROR: value too long for type character varying(4000) | So I'm guessing that due to the DB schema I can only have messages up-to 4KB in size. I retried with a 3.9KB message and the problem did not appear. I have noticed that I can run the same scenario, with 5KB messages, in "SOA-P 4.3.0CP01.CR2" which uses jBPM 3.2.5.SP1 without seeing the error. So, I assumed that the DB schema has changed between these jBPM versions. I did some searching on this forum and Jira and I can see that there has been quite a few changes to field sizes, in the DB schema, recently. I also notice that people have been having a number of problems that has caused some field sizes to be changed back in subsequent jBPM versions. Can anyone tell me if there is an elegant way of allowing 5KB messages, without hacking the DB schema directly? Thanks a lot, Paul.
