You don't have to rely on Hibernate/SQL queries. Acquiring tasks using a process instance id is covered by the API: List<Task> tasks = taskService.createTaskQuery().processInstanceId(processInstanceId).list(); anonymous wrote : 1.When the process start, Does it create/persist all task defined int the process definition or it create/persist only the current active tasks? I found this solution. http://docs.jboss.com/jbpm/v4.0/userguide/html_single/#java If you watch the source file of the test class (you can find it in the java examples) you will see that you can pass to the execution a Map<String, Object>. In this map you can insert an object as: | Map<String, Object> attributes = new HashMap<String, Object>(); | attributes.put("myObject", new Object()); | | executionService.startProcessById(processId, attributes); | and now everytime your process call #{myObject} it return your "new Object()" that you have passed in initialization. Hi, I'm working with jBpm 4.0 stable. I'm using the newest jpdl-4.0.xsd but Eclipse validation says the error in the object. I think there's something missing in the xsd. Do you know? I think we should add jBPM table in our schema. I guess it makes thing simplier (only one DB config) but ... I saw in jbpm4 developper guide "3.2. Thanks Ronald. I have decided to write a custom bean to retrieive task details based on process instance id which I have. List listActiveTasks = jbpmContext.getTaskMgmtSession().findTaskInstancesByProcessInstance(processInstance); | Long taskId = (((TaskInstance) listActiveTasks.get(0)).getId()); | This works fine if I dont have a fork in my process definition. If I have a fork the list has more than one task id..any idea to deal with the situation? 3.1.3? That is old, why do you want to use that version? Hi, I downloaded jBPM and use ant to demo.setup. After that, I can use jBPM-console, but no any example task or process. jBPM3: JSF expressions are/can be limited because sessions can be closed since things are lazy loaded. Either create a custom bean that handles request and/or use e.g. seam. If e.g. the taskInstance is loaded and this is 'outjected' in jsf, taskInstance.id works.
