Yes, this is a very common use case. Just write a class to implement the IdentitySession SPI, and then do a configuration in the jbpm.cfg.xml, You are ready to go. There was a dedicated section in the dev guide for this. [JBoss jBPM] - Use of external user database or directory

Hello! Is it possible to use an external user database or a directory service with jBPM for things like authenticating users when accessing the web console or to use when tasks need to be assigned to users? If yes - what's the general approach? I don't have a specific problem. I just would like to know if it's possible and if there is something like a defined interface. Placing the following pom snippet: <dependency> | <groupId>org.jbpm.jbpm4</groupId> | <artifactId>jbpm</artifactId> | <scope>provided</scope> | <version>4.0</version> | </dependency> | gives me the following error: Error building POM (may not be this project's POM). Project ID: org.jbpm.jbpm4:jbpm Reason: Parent element is a duplicate of the current project for project org.jbpm.jbpm4:jbpm Why? What is the correct GroupId, ArtifactId, version. What are the jbpm-jboss5 artifacts for? I am using JBoss 5. Any help would be appreciated. Problem when deploying process definition in Oracle Database - JBPM 4

Hi Guys, I am trying to deploy a process definition in Oracle Database with jBPM 4. The ant task is not being completed and stands 'sleeping' . I have deployed same process definition in a Postgresql and worked fine.
