ClassNotFoundException for functions if cached Rulebase used

hi, I'm using Drools 4.0.7. Using BRMS, I created a package which consists of a technical drl rule and a function. As the performance best practice suggestion goes, I'm caching the Rulebase instance that is obtained from the RuleAgent. However, I'm facing a problem when I'm doing this. The rules execute just fine if I call fireAllRules() just once. However, I get a ClassNotFoundException for the functions in my package when I fire the rules for the second time using the cached Rulebase. However, this problem does not occur if I create the Rulebase every time without caching. Could this be a possible bug? Problem with setting a Global

Greetings all, I have the following Java code and rule. When executed I get an "Unexpected Global" exception (see below). Very strange. The facts are passed into the WM by-reference. Therefore the query should work after calling the person.setClassName("Math") on the fact. And this should work without calling the insert or update. W3C RIF in Last Call

Dear All, The W3C Rule Interchange Format (RIF) Working Group recently published "Last Call" drafts of two of its specifications: - "RIF Basic Logic Dialect" (BLD) specifies an XML format for rules at an intermediate expressive power. The language is roughly Horn rules with URIs, datatypes, and builtins. This goes beyond datalog (it has function terms), it but does not provide any kind of negation. (Various forms of negation, and other features, are expected to be provided by dialects which extend BLD, to be published in the future.) http://www.w3.org/TR/rif-bld/ - "RIF RDF and OWL Compatibility" explains and specifies how RIF rulesets are to be used in combination with RDF and OWL. http://www.w3.org/TR/rif-rdf-owl/ LAST CALL IS THE KEY TIME FOR EXTERNAL REVIEW. The designs are essentially complete (the Working Group believes the design work is done), but things can still be changed in response to external input. Additionally, input on editorial issues (especially pointing out ambiguities) is always welcome. In addition to these Last Call documents, the Working Group has published four other drafts: - RIF Production Rule Dialect (PRD) specifies an XML format for the exchange of production rules. PRD and BLD are expected to be the basis of the two main dialect-branches, with RIF Core being the things in common between the two. (We have not yet published a document expressing that intersection, but it can be inferred from the PRD and BLD specifications.) This is a first public working draft. looping problem

Hello, thanks for your quick reply. I understand your explanation, but adding the *lock-on-active rule attribute to rule 1 and 2 only results that none of these rules is executed. That will loop even with no-loop set to true. Look at lock-on-active rule attribute, which may solve your issue. Best Regards, Michal*

The example uses a generic fact object and lazy initialisation of the output fact, the output fact(s) generated by the attached rule should be able to be used by another rules (which I haven't attached) as input fact. There are lots of rules such as: if age < 65 then allowance = 5225 if age >= 65 and age < 75 then allowance = 7550 - ((net income - 20,900) * 0.5) if allowance < 5225 then allowance = 5225 if age >= 75 then allowance =7690 - ((net income - 20,900) * 0.5) if allowance < 5225 then allowance = 5225 if 1=1 (run always) // calculate taxableOtherIncome (earnings, trading profits) taxableOtherIncome = otherIncome - allowance allowanceUsed = taxableOtherIncome - otherIncome allowanceRemaining = allowance - allowanceUsed allowance = allowanceRemaining // calculate taxableSavingsIncome taxableSavingsIncome = savingsIncome - allowance allowanceUsed = taxableSavingsIncome - savingsIncome allowanceRemaining = allowance - allowanceUsed allowance = allowanceRemaining // calculate taxableDividendIncome ... There seems to be a fairly strict order to some of the calculations. I.e. allowance should be deducted from otherIncome before savingsIncome or dividend income.
