I am planning to load the decision tables into a KnowledgeBase and cache it in Infinispan so that it can be accessed by all app instances. Since the rules dont change frequently, the loader script can be run whenever there is an update. This makes the XLS files stay along with the loader and not scattered across instances, but i would like to know from the community how it's handled - without Guvnor.
