However we have found regular debuggers "not to helpful". Have a look at the WorkingMemoryLoggers, they can give you a detailed insight of what's going on inside Drools, ie. * Facts inserted, changed, retracted * Activations * Rules fired 4.0.7: http://downloads.jboss.com/drools/docs/4.0.7.19894.GA/apidocs/org/drools/... (The Drools Eclipse Plugin can be used to view these logs). To be useful, this requires a usable toString, we have created those using apache commmons-lang.
