For "vfs" based urls to be able to work efficiently in things like URLClassLoaders, I need to cache VFSs and the children of VirtualFiles. If you don't do this, then jar files are continuously being reprocessed and things grind to a hault. The protocol Handler for vfs based URLs returns a VirtualFileURLConnection. If the setUseCaches is true, it caches the base VFS of the URL you are looking up. If not, the cache is not used and a new VFS is done. VirtualFile.getChildren, findChildren, etc... FileHandler keeps a cache of children. Whenver find/get is called, the FileHandler looks in its cache but will also make sure that the file has not changed on disk since it was cached. If it has, it will remove that item from the cache and create a new handler. This requires me to cache the timestamp of the file when the virtualfilehandler is created so that it can be compared with the latest timestamp of the file. If we dont' do this timestamp comparison, then the cache will have old items when things are redeployed. [Design of EJB 3.0] - EJBTHREE-615 still present in Embedded-ALPHA9

Hi, EJBTHREE-615 can still be reproduced in Embedded-ALPHA9. I have debugged this rudimentarily up to the fact, that JBossAuthorizationManager.setCachePolicy(CachePolicy) is never called. However, I failed to locate the proper version of all of the sources needed to investigate this further. Is there a description of the EJB3-embeddable build process, especially regarding which modules and versions haven been used in APLHA9? Thanks! So i am having similar problems. The only thing is that i am using jboss v.4.0.1 and in the ejb-deployer.xml there 's no create statement (not sure how the table is created). When i deploy my app. during the creation of timers and hilosequences table, i get an exception. These are all good challenges and great ideas. Let me comment on what we have and what I would consider to add to jBPM. If you mean process variable updates, that is somehting that is going to be supported soon in the web console. Of course, not all types and navigations might be supported. Cause we can persist all kinds of pojos. Event whole object graphs. Making all of these types editable in a web form will be the challenge here. Also a challenge is when a user stores references to persist objects in his own domain model. E.g. When there is an Order process and an Order java class that is persisted with hibernate. THen you can easily drop that Order object variable into the jbpm process variables... but making the properties of that user defined object editable in the web form will not be trivial. Basic types that are just in the process variables should be no problem, though. I am asking a generic question (not related to security deployer for jacc). jboss.xml supports "depends" tag - has a schema file. jboss-web.xml does not support "depends" tag. Just has a dtd file. jboss-app.xml does not support "depends" tag. Has a dtd file. You really have been on a roll yesterday, Scott.
