A trust decision can involve outside server calls, the same as an authentication decision, but the context is likely missing proof of identity. Rather there is a statement of identity and maybe some attributes along with it. SSO is really a trust decision as opposed to an authentication. Maybe there can be a single trust/authentication spi. Flesh it out with some mocked up test cases of usage we need to support. Hi, I´m using JBoss jboss-4.0.4.CR2 and I´m having some trouble booting JBoss.I have the jndi.properties file configured to search an ejb server (192.168.101.114), but it seems that my ejb server is not answering. I´m running it in all configuration, with HA-JNDI service enabled. Below is my jndi.properties file configured. java.naming.factory.initial=org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory java.naming.provider.url=jnp\://192.168.101.114\:1100 java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.jboss.naming:org.jnp.interfaces ~ ...booting JBoss... 17:23:12,549 WARN [NamingService] Context.PROVIDER_URL in server jndi.properties, url=192.168.101.114:1100 ........After some time, the exception below is thrown: 17:35:48,857 WARN [ServiceController] Problem starting service jboss:service=proxyFactory,target=ClientUserTransactionFactory javax.naming.CommunicationException [Root exception is java.rmi.RemoteException: Service unavailable.] at org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext.bind(NamingContext.java:578) at org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContext.bind(NamingContext.java:531) at javax.naming.InitialContext.bind(InitialContext.java:359) at org.jboss.util.naming.Util.bind(Util.java:102) Does anyone have an idea of what is going on? Actually, I believe I've fixed it, and found what I believe to be the error in the EJB3 package.... org.jboss.ejb3.Ejb3AnnotationHandler.getContainers goes through all ejbNames and calls container.setDefaultClientBinding(deployment.getDefaultClientBinding()); ...where appropriate, setting the default client binding of the SessionContainer's ProxyDeployer to the proper address I've overridden via the Service Binding Manager. This line is missing from the method if (ejbType == EJB_TYPE.SERVICE). I added locally, rebuilt - now my client can properly access my Service Bean as it obtains an InvokerLocator with proper binding address. Can you please confirm and provide instructions for my submitting code or a patch? Thanks! Yes, making the change as you described will cause the generated libraries.ent file which is found in thirdparty to contain the correct classpath. Just remember, you'll need to rebuild your thirdparty structure pick up the change. An easy way to do this is to simply delete your thirdparty/libraries.ent and rebuild.
