Interesting suggestion here, to drop 1.4 compat for JBC 2.0.0. The
only reason we tried to have this in is for Hibernate, which is
baselined on JDK 1.4. What do people think about this? I would
think we'd want Hibernate running with the latest and greatest JBC
though...
