i am running with jdl 1.5.12. New information about this issue: When i declare a simple method like this: | | public String echo(String name) { | return "Hello " + name; | } | I get proper response. Only when my methods have complex beans like this: | public String echo(UserData date) { | return "Hello " + data.getName(); | } | | @XmlAccessorType(XmlAccessType.FIELD) | UserData { | | @XmlElement(name = "name", required = true) | String name; | | public String getName() { | return name; | } | | public setName(String name) { | this.name = name; | } | | } | I am getting that exception in all these complex beans cases. The easiest way to do this is reinstall jbossas 4.4.2. Just download and unzip the binary zip file. As a hint - I never run the "default" configuration. Instead I make a copy of it and modify the copy and run that. This way I can easily "refresh" my configuration by deleting it and recopying "default" again. (I actually do this as part of my Ant script.) Thanks for reply, I think I realized what goes wrong - I played with jbossws versions and that is the main reason - I took clean 4.2.2.AS with jbossws2.0.1 SP2 and it works there... On my working server I installed jbossws 3.0.1 and it does not work. Please could you advice how could I clean AS manually with the aim to install jbossws again and where can I get jbossws2.0.1 SP2? It seems the bug is present in 2.0.4. I'm currently using JBoss-3.0.1-native-2.0.4 and JBoss AS 4.2.2 and the bug is still there. File name: Teste.ejb3 File Content: '--br/com/company/clazz.class '--META-INF '--ejb-jar.xml '--jboss.xml ejb.jar.xml ------------- <...> <display-name>TesteEJB</display-name> </...> jboss.xml ----------- <...> <context-root>/TesteEJB-WS</context-root> </...> The context-root when deployed: '/Teste.' If I changed the extension to 'jar' the context-path goes like: '/Teste' (without the dot '.') In either way the jboss.xml is NOT read. Hope hearing from you shortly. I've hit this problem again and, after 3 days of frustration, I've discovered something quite interesting... If you add debugging to log4j for ServiceEndpoint, the error will go away. <category name="org.jboss.ws.server.ServiceEndpoint"> | <priority value="DEBUG"/> | </category> I'm sure nobody will believe this but it's true. Okay, I solved my problem. Sort of. Basically, it was an annotation thing. We're trying to use the same package to evaluate SOAP and REST alternatives for a service layer, and some of the REST stuff was screwing up our namespaces. So now I have that problem to deal with, but that's beyond the scope of this forum. Thanks for the help. Then use wsconsume to generate the client stubs. The client: public class WSClient { | public static void main(String[] args) { | ProfileMgmtBeanService svc = new ProfileMgmtBeanService(); | ProfileMgmtBean inst = svc.getProfileMgmtBeanPort(); | System.out.println("And summ = " + inst.summ(1, 1)); | } | } Compile the client along with the stubs generated by wsconsume. Then use wsrunclient to run it.
