Re: [dna-dev] Preparation for 0.5 release
Just a quick status to let everyone know how the release is going.
We've spent the last few days completely rewriting and reorganizing
the Getting Started and Reference Guide documents. I'm very proud of
the work that we've done with them, because they really are much
improved. The Getting Started document is a little smaller and more
targeted toward an initial quickstart, while the Reference Guide has
been expanded a great deal and now documents a lot of the different
parts of JBoss DNA.
In my testing this evening, I discovered an issue (DNA-449) with the
federation connector which stemmed from recent changes to the
configuration. I plan to fix this tomorrow morning, then update a few
screenshots in the Getting Started doc (DNA-446), and follow that up
with final integration testing and (if everything goes well) the final
build and release process. Then, of course, the emails and blog post
with the announcement.
Thanks to Brian and Serge for their help over the last few days.
There's a little more work to do, but we're almost there. More to
follow tomorrow.

reviewing/editing of the updated Getting Started guide (and soon the
updated Reference Guide, after you hear from me). If you find any
mistakes, go ahead and log bugs in JIRA. And if you can fix it, go
ahead and make the changes in the DocBook source within SVN.
Any objections or suggestions otherwise?
