One topic might be the I18n framework. John did a great job (improving some stuff that he worked on with Dan a while back) on this, and it really is a great little framework. I used to hate internationalization code, but now it is very easy to work with. What do you think, John? You up for it? Could be a multipart blog, too. Some questions that could be answered: • How it's used • How it works • What are the advantages over other approaches • Support for multiple locales (e.g., web application) • Caching of localization messages • Parameters • Updating of localization messages • Typed parameters (compile-time) • Passing around internationalized messages • Extensibility (Localization repository) • Testing • Why does logging use it (and why debug and trace methods are not internationalized) Thoughts?
