Thank you Aron, I have been able to deploy the portlets, but now I am having problems with Jira Authenticahtion, I have seen in Kosmos Jira that there some soap implementation in order to get authenticated,can you give please the steps I have to follow? Thanks, Jason. Three levels of response to your query about security and validation: 1. Security is something that I would propose track closely with developments from Scott Stark's group. It appears that, from a JB-AS perspective, those folk have this issue nailed. 2. Encryption/Decryption is a separate matter, as the payload of data within JBESB-MX should have the option of using "good old" PKI for encrypt/decrypt/non-repudiation. As you suggest, the door should/would be left open for the user to incorporate the organization's tool of choice (PGP, SAML, XMLDS). 3. Validation is a more content/context oriented operation, requiring (in my view) the Data Transformation (JBESB-XL) to apply standards and user-authored rules to the data payload to validate its structure and content. As to tying in with JBoss AS, my purpose for publishing this proposed infrastructure at this early date is to ensure that nothing is out of line with JBoss' roadmap. varamthanapon, Do what Jason suggested. Once you have JBCS installed on Windows, you can copy the mail.ear and calendar.ear directories and the jbms-ds.xml (data source) file to your JBoss deploy directory. We're not using Solaris, but this is what I did to get JBCS on our Linux servers. As far as separating them, I'd say it depends on what you are doing. If you have app running on JBoss already or plan to, using JBAS is a simple way of doing it. We're using JBCS on JBAS since it's part of our app. If you want more control to bring down JBCS separate from your other apps, you may want to run them separate if you have the memory. No. But it can implement KernelControllerContextAware from which you can do context -> controller -> kernel This is more like the MBeanRegistration e.g. implemented by ServiceMBeanSupport. This is in regards to EJBTHREE-617 Maybe a generic metadata facility would be a better approach rather than a specifc jndi binding setting in jboss-app.xml? This way EAR subdeployment types can evolve without having to change EAR Deployer code. EARs already have the concept of additional metadata. This probably coincides with the Profile service as well. Hi, If you have downloaded the vendor-independent package (kosmos-0.2.0RC2.zip), then go to the kosmos-0.2.0RC2/portlet dir and launch that command. If you're using Liferay, plz note that there is dedicated package (kosmos-0.2.0RC2-for-liferay-portal.zip) available! You can download that from the project downloads page, then simply extract it to the /webapps dir of Liferay and voila!
