Last week i was briefly looking into something similar. It's basically not that obvious, as IMHO parts of what ServiceMetaDataICF and BeanMetaDataICF are doing should be moved out. On the other hand looking at the connection factory ICFs - those actually only do operations on the ConnectionFactoryMetaData itself, which should be fine. So i think that one of the goals should be to have a clearer separation between the metaData operations and the extension behavior. Although refactoring ICFs totally out of this process could be quite hard. Maybe creating something new but similar for the extension behavior could be easier? Leaving the meta data operations in the responsablitly of the ICFs (setValue, getValue). On top of that the extension behavior like overriding the moClass, getting the values from the MBeanServer or the MCBean... Also adding and creating a new attribute to the meta data e.g. ServiceAttributeMD could be done by the extensions. Is similar to what you have in mind? Hi guys, I've just tagged Remoting 2.5.1 for AS 5.1.0.CR1. There's a jboss-remoting jar at * http://repository.jboss.com/jboss/remoting/2.5.1/lib/ and a jboss-remoting-2.5.1.jar at * https://svn.jboss.org/repos/repository.jboss.org/maven2/org/jboss/remotin... . The new version has several JBossMessaging related fixes that have arisen in support cases lately. i'm referring to the other activities and how they are explained in terms of examples. one activity might be explained in 1, 2 or 3 examples. each example shows one specific use case. for email that would be something like: email.inline: this would show an activity that sends an email which has all the properties like to, subject, body defined inline. email.template: an mail activity using a template task.reminder: another example in the list of task examples showing the task reminder those are imo the first targets for email. all the other advanced functionality should be postponed. i'ld like to see examples in the example package. then we can discuss and then the docs should explain the story in detail just like with the other activities.
