I found a problem with the lazy getChildren implementation. It produces incorrect relative path names on the resulting directory entries. The following two tests are failing because of this: JarVirtualFileHandlerTest.testSubSubChildPathName FileVFSUnitTestCase.testClassScan The directory entry children are going to have to be linked with their parent entry when the jar is parsed in the JarHandler.initJarFile to get the paths correct is looks like. There already is a bean that can be used for this in jboss5 (JARStructure deployer) so I don't have an immeadiate issue to resolve. Let's think of your group as a team. A collection of Principals (users and/or groups). If you assign the permissions to a role, and then assign the role to the scope of that team, then any team member inherits the permissions of the team via the team membership. I'd like to see a "role scope" I believe the best and most flexible approach would be to allow to assing roles in a scope. A scope could be a User Group, or a Page or a Portal, ..... That would allow your scenario, and many more. I don't believe it would a big change in the portal code. The biggest effort to get there is the admin UI to manage the role memberships. i'm having the same issue...the UserTransaction bean initialzation tries to find TransactionManager in a new InitialContext(). it doesnt supply its own properties to the InitialContext(), so the default ones (in my case, the apache tomcat ones) are being picked up. how do i tell tomcat to launch w/ the jboss jndi properties are the default? i tried putting the jndi.properties in my webapp's WEB-INF/lib and WEB-INF/classes, and in tomcat's server\classes dir, to no avail. where does it go?
