Do you think it is better for BeanMetaData.getMethodPermissions to return a set of strings that represent roles rather than a set of principals? Special strings can represent the ANYBODY or NOBODY principals. The only way I can see that the StubClass would become a jacorb reference is if something is invoking the constructor HandleImplIIOP(org.omg.CORBA.Object obj) with the reference without doing some narrow() code like the handle does. Add some debug code to the constructor to see what is passing a corba Object that does not implement EJBObject. [Design of JBoss IIOP on JBoss] - IIOP with IBM Orb in JBoss

Hi, Jacorb is included in JBoss for IIOP, fine, but i can change it inside iiop-service.xml. However, i didnt find any example of this file with IBM ORB (available with AIX JVM). The JBoss class ORBSingleton talk about IBM VM, so that means it was tested.... Does someone used JBoss with IBM ORB instead of Jacorb ? There is also a problem with the stubClass being set to org.jacorb.orb.Reference. This can be reproduced in a CTS5 test. Though in the test it occurs in the HandleImplIIOP, the logic seems to be the same. There really is not a usecase for server/server serialization, so the replaceObject approach where the Fields impl is replaced with the simple DefaultFieldsImpl as a value place holder is what we want. [Design of POJO Server] - Principal implementations in metadata project

One issue I just ran into is the duplication of the org.jboss.security.{AnybodyPrincipal,AnybodyPrincipal,SimplePrincipal} in the jboss-metadata project. These are Principal implementations that should not be defined by the metadata layer. They really belong in the security project/security aspect project (where they currently are). Removing these means breaking the legacy org.jboss.metadata.BeanMetaData.getMethodPermissions which returns a Set of Principals. The only way around that is to add a PrincipalFactory api to the metadata project, or add such an interface to the jboss-security-spi and have jboss-metadata depend on that.
