Thanks, James. The problem with storing the partition name in the interceptor is you are forced to use a static method to determine the partition name. That limits you to a single partition per VM, while JBoss AS supports multiple partitions. I ended up including the partition name in the proxy rather than in an interceptor; it gets passed to the interceptor as invocation metadata. The EJB container is responsible for creating the proxy and can pass the the partition name as a c'tor arg without any problem, so there's no need for a static method. The signal is captured by the JVM, and there is a specific API for that signal on JVMPI. I tried capturing signals on the native layer... but every time I tried breaking the regular flow of execution.... (JVM->NativeLayer) I got crashes. The first version used only kill -3, later I developed a MBean where you could use Java->native methods to control its life cycle. The best way to control the execution now would be through MBean.. but you need to have the jboss-profiler-noAOP.sar deployed before JBoss started. Done. Added http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMESSAGING-998. By the way, another way these permissions could be configured may be configuring them per user. Then the configured permissions would apply to all temporary destinations created by the user. It would mean creating or logging in as a separate user if you need to restrict access to your temp destinations, but at least it wouldn't be all-or-nothing.
