Ignorant question whose answer I should know. If you bind the Cache itself in the java:/ namespace, does it serialize it or just store a ref to the cache in the JNDI tree? I think the tricky bit is you have to have a cleanup API to remove the caches (or use WeakReferences). If the client is local and JMX is available, they can just use CacheJmxWrapper and JMX becomes a registry. Or maybe binding the Cache in JNDI in java:/ will work. [Design of JBoss Portal] - DnD on pages

I played around Drag/Drop on version 2.6. It seems DnD is enabled only on dashboard. I am an admin user, I like to have DnD on pages to re-arrange windows visually. Is there something I am missing, or it is designed this way? This has been added. I originally modified AbstractController, but found that the callbacks were being "uninstall"ed twice, so it does its own unwinding. I've added some checks to AbstractLifecycleCallbackItem to check if the "install" callback was called for a particular callback, and if not to skip the "uninstall" step for that. One borderline case is the lifecycle callback whose "install" method caused an error, should the callback for that be called or not? I think so, since it might have had partial success. It looks like the org.jboss.soa.esb.actions.persistence.StoreMessage action is outdated. The org.jboss.soa.esb.actions.MessagePersister action does the same thing and includes the new classification attribute for messages. I can delete the StoreMessage action if nobody is using it. I've checked in code for these 2 jira tasks: Spring integration quickstarts: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBESB-367 For those too busy to read the Jira tickets, here's a quick rundown of the Spring quickstarts: 1. product/samples/quickstarts/spring_helloworld - simple loading/invoking of a spring bean 2. product/samples/quickstarts/spring_aop - simple SpringAOP example 3. product/samples/quickstarts/spring_jpetstore - more complicated Spring example that uses Spring managed DB connection pool/datasource, SpringTX, SpringAOP and iBatis for DB access.
