We're seeing some failures on hudson on the HASingletonElectionPolicyTestCase. I believe the issue is that preferred master is being set to 127.0.0.1:1099 but the hudson run is not binding node0 to localhost. I'll fix this by making the preferred master ${node0.bind.address}:1099 and then modifying testsuite/imports/server-config.xml to pass node0.bind.address to both servers. I tried the jar attached to the jira and it worked great. No unexpected jars required. Side note: *.jar.bak and *.jar.old files put in \server\default\lib will still be attempted to be deployed. I didnt think this happened in 4.x?? I did ask about java DBs on purpose ;) h2 and derby are the ones I have experience with. Derby is quite slow in comparison to h2 but the biggest factor in this is probably the fact that h2 doesn't sync the database to disk as often. If this was a production system then I would be worried by that but for a non production demo I wouldn't. Do you guys have experience of other java DBs? Looks to me we should stick to an all java db so we can run with them OOTB. I'm using derby on the scout and jUDDI projects.
