[Design of EJB 3.0] - EJB3Deployer and EJB3ClientDeployer order

I am not up to date with the things. So, maybe I am missing something obvious and should search better. If I deploy an ear that contains two ejb3 jars and a client jar with ejb references to the ejb jars, I see that the EJB3ClientDeployer is deploying the client before the EJB3 jars are deployed and the ejb-ref resolution fails. Has anyone seen this? I also don't understand why this shows up on mvn release:prepare but setting -DdryRun=true doesn't see the issue? On a side note, it looks like the artifact was finally found in the central repository. I asked for some help from IT (with a helpdesk ticket) to have our own mirror of the central repo based on this discussion (http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=131197). This is a confusing thread ;) It seems at least three different things are being discussed: 1) Where is the JBM 2.0 source code (answered) 2) How to "integrate" Camel into JBM. I'm not sure what "integration" really means in that context. AFAIK camel works with any JMS compliant provider without special integration - although it would be great to demonstrate JBM working with Camel. Alternatively Camel could integrate at the JBM core level which would allow more powerful features to be exposed. 3) Event stream processing (ESP). I agree with Jeff - any complex rules based conditional logic is really the area for Drools, and see this working at the drools level with JBM as a transport. [Design of Messaging on JBoss (Messaging/JBoss)] - JBM 2.0 new journal store

I have completed the first phase of the new fast journal storage for JBM 2.0 :) It's a fast append only journal, with full transaction and xa support that can be used to store any arbitrary records. The actual IO access is abstracted out so the same journal code can be used against different IO systems. So far I have create an implementation for Java file NIO (file channels), and this is now being used in TRUNK as the default storage mechanism - the entire test suite runs successfully against this. This is already showing pretty blinding performance :) Next stop is to plugin it into our new Linux async io layer. This is a thin JNI wrapper around Linux async IO (thanks to Clebert), and can plugged into our journal. This should give us even better peformance when running on Linux. The idea is we use Java NIO when running on other OSes and Linux async IO when running on Linux. What remains to be done is the file reclamation implementation. A blog entry is coming up on this.
