[Design of JBoss Portal] - Creating and rendering URLs in JBoss Portal 2.6 and 2.7

I hope it's OK that I posted this question in the Developers Form; I did so as I think the subject here might lead to feature requests, documentation enhancements, and most importantly as this isn't an environment specific request - but a question about a best practice re: the current Portal API design. Per the JBoss Portal 2.6.5 reference guide (12.8.3. Link to Other Pages), the JBossRenderResposne interface can be used to generate action and render URLs to portlets on other pages (or other pages in general). It seems, however, that these calls don't allow for changing windowstate or portlet mode. Further, they don't take into account the logic used to encode Portal URLs (org.jboss.portal.portlet.impl.PortletRequestDecoder/Encoder). So, my question is simple - what is the recommended way to generate full URLs (with mode/state changes, parameters, etc.) to portlets on other pages using the JBoss Portal API. I'm interested in both the 2.6 and 2.7 APIs. Problem with LdapExtLoginModule

I have a problem trying to login to my application using this module for JAAS. everything is fine but when i send a password which is not the same as stored in LDAP in terms of case sensitiveness. I mean : right password: asdfASDF wrong password: AsDfAsDF they are not the same but LdapExtLoginModule thincks they are. I am making modification to this module due business requirements associated with cryptography and inspecting the code i have noticed this issue. I missed some configuration option? or this is a real issue that must be repaired! excuse my english please! Thanks a lot!

Trustin, Ive created a branch https://svn.jboss.org/repos/netty/branches/invm/. I've done a quick and rough proof of concept for an implementation of Channel and ChannelFactory that the servlet transport will use. Theres an InvmExample that you can run. Its a bit untidy and theres still a bit missing but it should give you an indication of how it shoud work. Let me know your thoughts? I have committed the changes. I've also renamed applyToChildren annotation (since it hasn't been released yet) if you are using it. An example for your use-case would be http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/common/jbossxb/trunk/src/test/java/org/jbo... It's anonsvn link, so it may take some time before it becomes valid. BTW, I recommend you use propOrder element of XmlType annotation if you want your code to run in different JVM versions.
