Well, first we saw is that actions Map contains the actions that are defined in the workflow, and taking into account that actions are always the same class isn't necessary to put(mapping) the action each time. So we put the code line: if (! actions.containsKey(action.getName())) Why put instruction takes 10 second, we still don't undestand, but we think is an Hibernate issue. I think you're doing too much of re-factoring. ;-) (a) package renaming: removed MC naming notion of separation between spi, api, plugins (b) location: this should be top level jbossas/projects if you ask me (a) might not be that crucial, as we're not expecting to extend this any futher e.g. any other MC piece is actually a building block for other things, as it clearly shows here, hence a strict spi, api, plugins is in order (b) this is something I would like to debate, as the current situation is just too tangled up, no way to know where and how things fit in. [JBoss Remoting Development] - JBoss RMI + Serialization performance issue

hi, This is w.r.t. http://labs.jboss.com/jbossremoting/docs/benchmark/performance_benchmark.... where comparision between diffarent protocols is done. The page also gives the JUnit code that generated the graphs. we are trying out with 2.5.2. version. We are evaluating Java RMI and JBoss RMI over socket + Jboss serialization. We see that Java RMI with Java serialization is always atleast 20% faster than Jboss RMI + socket + Jboss serialization. i am unable to understand the below from the test cases. 1. The payload uses byte[1024] empty array always. and the object is never serialized. 2. why byte[] as theres not thing there to serialize in it 3. Even on using byte[1024] to be sent across using jboss and java rmi we see java rmi is superior on our machines. If this is the case then how ar the graphs generated? Or am i missing something very important. [JBoss Portal Development WSRP] - WSRP portlet development As Generic way

Hi, This is Srikanth , newbie to JBoss portal framework. I have to configure a WSRP portlet to the portal.I got the guidelines from the documentation provided by jboss portal and configured it successfully. I've a doubt whether it is possible to develop a simple portlet and including the WSRP related code inside it(i.e inside the doView, and doEdit).I think it is possible, but want to know which service i need to use. just i walked through the code and found there is some MBean service defined for the WSRPConsumerImpl, but the same is not available in the release version. for example: All the wsrp related configurations will be kept inside the portlet.xml as preferences. we include the portlet conntext also in this. I require a WSRPGenericPortlet which can be extended by the developer in future and in the init we will initialize the WSRP related configurations. in the doView(), doEdit().. we will pass the respective request to the service provider. public class WSRPGenericPortlet extends GenericPortlet{ init(){ initialize the Endipoint & Registration; } doView(){ call the doview related service } doEdit(){ call the doEdit related service } --- } by using the above the end developer can write portlet as following public class SampleWSRPportlet extends WSRPGenericPortlet{ } provides the configurations in the portlet.xml Note: I don't require the postions and themes to be maintained by service provider.
