Yes, the API is compatible with JDK 1.1.
So if you were sufficiently perverse you could write a jms client and server that ran
using JDK 1.1.
We are currently Java 5 only on the server side, and Java 1.4.2 or later on the client.
Soon (probably remoting 2.0) we will be Java 5 or later only on the client too.
