btw. Did you look at changes made in 2.6? The split to UserModule, RoleModule, MembershipModule and UserProfileModule? Hopefully it shouldn't be hard to port your work into new portal version. I think that something that plugs into SSO solution on that level will be very valuably for the project so looking forward to hear more from you!
