For each module you detach you will have to make a build/tools directory a thirdparty directory and a output/resources strategy or start using maven 1) build/tools --> maven plugins (if any, I have not had reasoning for making a maven plugin for the portal yet) 2) thirdparty --> maven repository strategy 3) output/resources --> maven repository strategy Currently the maven build I have made is for the whole portal, but I do belive it could just as easy be used for detached modules.
