Please **NEVER** hack tests to pass when there is a bug in the system
(assertRemainingMessages(-1)) - this is extremely bad practice.
The test should be kept failing until the core issue is fixed.
-1 is clearly not a correct values for remaining messages.
Fudging tests is a sackable offence ;)
