I'd be happy to hear more... Do you have full access to the portal's FacesContext for the portlet? State saving, lifecycle, data, etc.? Does it work with Jboss Seam? I've been developing this solution and it works perfect under 2.4! For 2.6 I had to make some minor changes to make it work. I am currently in the testing phase before submitting the code.
