This is similar to something I was seeing in the app server builds.  I resolved it by
updating the jboss-parent pom.  I'll do a beta release of the parent pom, and then we
can see if that fixes the issue for you.  
The parent pom is here (https://svn.labs.jboss.org/labs/jbossbuild/jboss-parent/trunk).

I will release version 4-beta-1.
