After chatting with Paul, I've created a release of the jboss-jacc-api submodule: http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/javaee/tags/jboss-jacc-ap... which was needed to change the dependency defined in the pom for the servlet API. This version will be used with AS5. When testing the new jboss-javaee release with AS5 org.jboss.javaee:jboss-servlet-api 2.5.0.CR1 is being pulled in from ejb3-core as a transitiive dependency which in the short term will be excluded.
