I think there's a major breakthrough in JBoss AS 5 in separating deployer into it's own directory which is deployers/ Would it be a good idea to separate services that is found under deploy/ directory which are: 1. *.sar/ 2. messaging/ 3. *-service.xml 4. *.rar 5. datasources So the idea is, the deploy/ directory will only be for deployed application(s).
