I sure didn't create a JIRA since the JBoss guys in the forum appeared to be so strongly opposed to the idea. It's perhaps a bit ironic that the main reason being given was that "datasources in EARs are not Java EE". Mean while, -the- representative implementation of all what Java EE stands for (Glassfish) has started to fully support embedded datasources (and all other kinds of resources) via an embedded glassfish-resources.xml file. --------------------------------------------------
